Objective:

Students will discuss and reflect on controversial statues. They will then create art based on their research and analysis of artists who have explored statues, monuments, and public artworks as a reflection of cultural identity.

Essential Questions:

What should we do with controversial statues? Should we pull them down or keep them up? To help you answer these questions, this 3 week workshop will dip in to history, politics and art & design.
